Opening exhibition ECHO HOLD
Last Saturday, March 21, the group exhibition ECHO HOLD, organized by JumpstArt with curator Iris Cornelis, opened at our location in Nieuw Charlois.
During just about the busiest weekend of the year, namely Rotterdam Art Week, five artists presented their work in this group exhibition. During the opening of Art Week on Wednesday, March 25, there were a huge number of visitors and wonderful conversations were held.
The C3 building was in full bloom with open studios, exhibitions spread throughout the building, and delicious food in the Cantina. As a result, a diverse audience flocked to the exhibition. On Saturday, March 28, interesting panel discussions were held with European partners of JumpstArt, moderated by Sophie Mak Schram.
The participating artists Frida Berntsen, Kasper Boelens, Joost Vermeer, Wille-Meike Brand, and Kasper van Moll received support at JumpstArt in building an independent and sustainable professional practice, particularly in the early stages of their careers. This resonates beautifully with how we also want to provide a platform for young artists, so it was a successful collaboration!
